3-Day Catch-Up

I have been blogging a little on my 3-Day site and in order to keep all the info in one place I'll be adding it here as well. :)  So to catch-up everything I've posted there to date is below.

New Fundraising Goal, Prizes needed and Possible change in sledding

My supporters rock SO...

I'm bumping up my goal from $2,300 to $3,500. I have no doubt that we can do it! Spread the word!

Second, Team "Fight For Betty Boop" is planning some great events and contests and we're looking for prizes to be donated. If you can donate some prizes (gift cards, tickets of some sort, items) let me know. If you can't but know some one that can...let me know. It's really quite easy. :)

And lastly...

If you live in MN you've witnessed the snow melting at an alarming rate. We MAY need to change or sledding event to some other type of event but I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks again for all the support!

$15 Caribou Gift Card

I'm $140 shy of the first quarter of my goal ($2300) and I'm offering a PRIZE if YOUR donation gets me over the quarter way mark! A $15 Caribou gift card!

Just a reminder that the donation is tax deductible as well! So if you've already had your taxes done and you want more of a return next year, donate. It's a win-win!

Thanks!

Home and Happy

Betty was sent home on Thursday. Roger has said she is still a little weak, rightfully so, but glad to be home. Kyle and I are giving her some more time before bombarding her with the GEEK Squad. At the very least, Kyle will be going over next weekend with Gabe.

We're all very happy Betty is back home and still praying for fast healing.

Thanks!

Second Day of Healing

Kyle and I got to see Betty yesterday after the surgeries. She looked really good for what she had just been through. We told her to give us a call when she's ready for us to come back. She's obviously just gone through a lot so we're hoping she gets her rest instead of a crazy bunch of 4! The kids haven't seen her since before she went in but they're definitely too much to take right now.

Doctors said they'd like to hold her until the end of the week but Betty will have none of that. She has class Thursday she wants to get to. :) We'll see. We told her to take her time and not rush anything. We'll see what happens.

That's it for now. More to come.

Double Mastectomy

Information has been clarified for me today. Betty is having a double mastectomy in addition to her herniated lung being worked on. It's estimated she'll be out of surgery around 1 PM CST. I'll do my best to get an update after that.

Also, apparently they won't be doing chemo and radiation but a hormone therapy for 5 years. I'll try to get more info on that as well.

Please continue to pray!

Thank you!

Surgery...Monday, January 25th, 2010

Tomorrow at 8:30 AM CST, Betty will be having her surgery to remove the cancer and fix her herniated lung. At this point, we don't know how long the surgery will last. Kyle and I have both taken the day off of work and the kids will be at daycare.

Please say a prayer or two for Betty tomorrow.

Thanks!
